What Has Happened to Saul?

Post by jack stowaway » Fri Jun 04, 2010 6:21 pm

I can't be the only one wondering why Saul doesn't seem to be posting here anymore.

Is this action voluntary on his part or has he been banned by the board administrators?

I think that, if the latter, is the case, then the administrators should post a notice to that effect, citing reasons. I'm less concerned with the fate of a single poster than I am with matters of transparency and accountability.

How about it Lance? (Given the absence of Corylss.)

His profile no longer exists. All his posts seem to have vanished.

Surreptitiously, to be sure - but high time this action was taken.

I've had the situation explained to me, and my question answered --which I appreciate.

Though I have been on the receiving end of his temper, still, I enjoyed reading some of Saul's posts.
STRESSED? Spell it backwards for the cure.

Saul's posts shone a needed light on the often murky world of ultra-orthodoxy. It's not a world I have any time for, but its a world that exists and one that needs to be understood. Let's say his posts explained a great deal.

It's a great pity that he chose to accompany those thoughts with insults and ridicule for those who did not share his beliefs, his constant mocking of Agnes by calling her a monkey is a good example...he is a very religious person and I admired him greatly for that, I was shocked by how somebody that religious could be so rude, it's a shame that he went too far and is now gone for good...

I was not offended by his calling me a monkey as I am a Darwinist. More
offensive were his attacks on other religious beliefs and, yes calling people
names, I did find it very offensive, particularly the word "Shmuck".
For a while I even believed he was a flunkey
of some New York anti-Semitic movement as his statements
certainy provoked anti-Semitism.

I wish him well with his Talmudic studies and I hope he learns how to
control his vocabulary.
