Is Trump worse than Cruz ?
Re: Is Trump worse than Cruz ?
For me, all that matters is that neither is elected president. From the primaries so far, Cruz is much less electable than Trump, so I want the Republicans to stay true to their course in the last several years and nominate him. Trump probably isn't electable either, but why take chances?

Cruz is certainly a more rigid ideologue than Trump.

Re: Is Trump worse than Cruz ?
Trump isn't an ideologue at all. He's so determined to be politically incorrect in every way, in substance and style, that he flouts Republican (and Democratic) articles of faith as if he doesn't even know what they are. He just blunders on regardless, changing his stated positions on the spur of the moment. That in itself, setting aside the actual positions, makes him unfit to be president, and should make him unelectable. But quite a few Republican voters in 12 states apparently don't think so.
