Gene Wilder dead at 83

Post by Lance » Tue Aug 30, 2016 1:06 pm

Gene Wilder was one person who could make me laugh and remember it. I just read where the actor passed away at age 83. The last three years he suffered with Alzheimer's. One-by-one, they go.

One of the greatest comedic talents ever, he never failed to perform his roles at the highest level.

My sleeper film from Wilder has to be the Frisco Kid, a true classic.

Great artist and will always remain a very special man and actor supreme.

RIP.

I need to revisit The Frisco Kid; I saw it on HBO, back when the station was nearly brand new.

Young Frankenstein is still the work of his I like best, though I have just revisited Blazing Saddles, wherein he is nothing like a slouch.

Will watch Willy Wonka this evening.

Cheers,
~k.
