I've never been in favor of legalized recreational marijuana. (The argument that it is no worse than recreational alcohol is to my mind fallacious and self-serving to those who make it.) However, if the Republicans take over the whole federal government as now appears likely, it will be difficult for me to be judgmental about the matter, just as it is hard to be judgmental about alcoholism in Russia.
