Len Goran's Latest Subway Report

Post by lennygoran » Sat Apr 08, 2017 8:46 am

On our latest trip in to NYC we got to one subway station where they got the music right-also we saw the newly renovated 63rd st station of the second ave subway-all that's left for us now is to check out the 96th st station. Regards, Len

Excuse me, but how can a station be "renovated" on a line the first phase of which only opened three months ago (after a century of talking about it, I might add; I remember NYC local news broadcasting that "New York was finally going to get its new subway" back in the 1960s, though obviously something happened to make them un-get it)?

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

John the 63rd st stop was always there but they just made it better-the actual brand new ones so far are 72th, 86th and 96th-more will follow. Len back in nyc

John a followup-now we've been to the 96th st station-kind of monotonous and disappointing-would have liked not one continuous design but more variety. Regards, Len
