Yesterday we hoped to get to the NYBG but is was pretty much a rainout-spring flowers and trees and the added attraction of glass man dale chihully with an exhibit in the garden--instead that rain brought is to the Met Opera quite a few times with a nuber of connections to it--first the lincoln center tkts booth-then with half price tickets at the theater closest to the Met-the vivian beaumont for the play Oslo-the direction came from Bartlett Sher who of course has done many operas for the Met. Then there`s the plays subject matter-much in common with Klinghoffer. In addition we got to see the Turner exhibit at the Frick-many watercolors and at least one painting from London`s Tate Gallery.
