Speaking of scams

Post by jbuck919 » Mon Jan 15, 2018 12:35 pm

I have been getting the "Molly calling from Apple support" call about every two hours today. It is clearly a scam and you can look it up, but what no source seems to be able to tell me is how to stop the calls. Any ideas? I have to leave my phone on in case it's a serious call.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Get a phone that blocks phone calls of your choice. My Panasonic does. And subscribe to Nomorobo. It’s free. These are not for cell phones. For cell phones get one that blocks phone calls. My iphone SE blocks phone calls.

Thank you, Alan. I don't even have cell phone service here, and these calls are coming over my land line. But the place is not so backward or far out in the sticks that I cannot try what you suggested.
