It's strange to read this! My son (once with his wife) had twice visited the USA in the last 2 years; on both occasions one of them became very ill. The first time, the bride ended up in a NY hospital and the second when my son was traveling with (the now Australian PM) his boss. My son was confined to a hotel room in Seattle, Washington, when he was expecting a huge treat in the USA as a consequence of the status of his boss, which we were all looking forward to hearing about (and which I do not discuss because my son would definitely not appreciate it). Ergo, I wondered why my son and his wife had became so ill on two separate occasions!!
