Peterson v Zizek in debate

Post by Belle » Thu May 16, 2019 1:43 am

This debate just took place recently and doesn't get underway until about 16 minutes, with all preliminaries taking up a lot of time. I haven't watched all of it because I find Dr. Zizek's myriad tics and OCDs hard to watch and him difficult to hear. Dr. Peterson is his usual poised self, with gentle humour - and he never attacks the individual in his arguments:

I finished watching all of this today, with my husband. I was disarmed by Dr. Zizek and his humour and personality and he made quite a lot of sense. This was a very respectful debate with both men admirers of the other. Dr. Peterson's planetary-sized brain found an equal match with Dr. Zizek (whom I didn't think I'd like at all). And the venue packed to the rafters with young people hungry for meaningful debate about the big issues. Great viewing!!
