Ship of Fools ?

From AxiosAM today:

"A near-capacity crowd of 38,238 filled Globe Life Field outside Dallas to watch the Texas Rangers lose 6-2 to the Toronto Blue Jays, "marking the largest publicly documented attendance at an event during the COVID-19 pandemic," the Dallas Morning News reports (subscription)."Many attendees sat without masks as the game progressed".

"Just half of U.S. parents plan to get their children vaccinated for COVID-19 as soon as they can, and 48% said they wouldn't, " Margaret Talev writes from the Axios/Ipsos Coronavirus Index.Republicans surveyed were most resistant to vaccinating their children.

Pollster Chris Jackson, senior vice president for Ipsos Public Affairs, said if enough parents remain reluctant over time about their children getting shots, that could spell "the end of the easy part of the vaccination story."

Good idea, since Mexico won’t take Texas back now even for free, nor Spain take Florida.Mississippi can’t even keep the water on in its capital city.
