I enjoyed this group in my young years (though they seem to be singing between the notes during this live performance!):

Led Zeppelin: one of the great rock concerts, a good-sounding bootleg of the 9 September 1970 show in Boston Garden.

John Renbourn: The Lady and Unicorn (1970) part of an ongoing LP vinyl marathon.
Anyone who likes the sound of late medieval classical instrumentals should like this classic folk album, as well as Sir John Alot of Merry Englandes Musyk (4 posts above), emanating long ago from the UK.

J.J. Cale: Okie (1974)
A record salesman gave me this promo LP in 1974. I just played it today. Then gave it away to a restaurant owner who wants to post the cover art on his wall.

THE MOODY BLUES – DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED (1967)
For me, a seminal recording. The beginnings of progressive rock, followed by groups like Jethro Tull, Genesis, King Crimson, Emerson. Lake and Palmer, and Yes.

Also from Big 10-Inch Record . . . a great little record that I own on RCA LP rescued from being consigned to my dumpster bin as I deaccession vinyl: the 1941 shellac recordings of the Lady in the Dark show (Weill) with Gertrude Lawrence.

Dick Gregory: Caught in the Act (1973)
Listened to this brilliant comedy album on Memorial Day. Tried substituting silently the name of another POTUS every time I heard "NIXON". Worked better than I expected

The great, but not late, Harry Belafonte. A classic CH concert on LP vinyl. I must have owned at least three copies of this double-record set. I just gave away two of 'em along with a couple hundred musical theater shows on LP.

The greatest rock band I ever saw. Boston Garden 1970. More so even than the Stones in 1969.
