If you could choose a great composer from the past to write the music for a film who would you choose for Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, Some Like it Hot and Vertigo? Any other choices of great films?

Certainly George Gershwin's "popular" music would have been perfect for the soundtrack of
"Some Like It Hot" which featured the music of the 1920's. George Gershwin was probably best
known in the '20's era for his tin pan alley music, not his classical-oriented music -- "Rhapsody
in Blue" and "2nd Rhapsody" -- and his one opera, "Porgy and Bess".
