Repo! The Genetic Opera

Post by Prometheus » Sun Apr 18, 2010 3:21 pm

I watched this film the other night as a friend of mine had spoken highly of it. I must say it is one of the more unusual films I’ve seen. It describes itself as a rock opera. Almost all of the dialogue is sung and is rated R for violence.

The plot involves the future where a company sells organs to keep persons alive. If persons fail to pay the money they send the Repo Man to take the organs back. The main characters are intertwined in events from the past catching up to them.

The film stars Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Anthony Stewart Head, Sarah Brightman, Paris Hilton, Terrance Zdunich, Bill Moseley, and Ogre.

The costumes and scenery were well done and it contains many memorable songs.

Here is the trailer:

If the trailer entices anyone, here are some of the songs that I found that stood out during the film.
