Here's the place to talk about DVDs (or VHS) films and movies you have seen on television and recommend or don't recommend. Discuss actors and scores, too.

Bela Lugosi

Has any other actor made as many poor quality films as Lugosi? Of the movies you have seen which was the worst? KARLOFF managed to do some good films, but Lugosi worked his way down to grade Z films. Discounting DRACULA, did he ever make a good film?

Many people would rate Karloff and Lugosi more equally. I think his original Dracula, which he played first on stage, was a fine performance. His deterioration into an association with Ed Wood was tragic.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

I was surprised to find out that he played a secondary role in "Ninotchka" with Greta Garbo.

Can't say I have seen him in any other film besides Dracula.

My favorite Lugosi quote from Dracula:

"I never drink............................wine."
