LAUREL & HARDY fest on TCM

Here's the place to talk about DVDs (or VHS) films and movies you have seen on television and recommend or don't recommend. Discuss actors and scores, too.

LAUREL & HARDY fest on TCM

...simply click on the same link for the Little Rascals thread below this one--it's a week thereafter. The channel's showing select features, as well as ALL OF their talkie short subjects. Comedy goldmine, needless to add.

Not far from Augusta GA (where we live) is a little town called Harlem GA (it's close to Sawdust GA and Boneville Ga --- I kid you not. Anyway, Harlem is the birthplace of Oliver Hardy. They have a Laurel and Hardy museum there, a MUST SEE for fans of the twosome. Come on down y'all!

Don't know if I'll ever get out there, though it's terrific to know one exists in Hardy's home town. If I ever get out to Los Angeles again, however, the first thing I'd do (aside from seeing a visiting orchestra at Disney Hall) is tour the Hal Roach studio/museum.....maybe even have a meal at the Our Gang Cafe therein. :D

I'm sure "The Music Box" will be part of the show - it's the greatest of all. Just in case, though:
