"Yes Minister" TV series

I'm wondering whether you in the USA ever got to see this series "Yes Minister" and it's spin-off "Yes, Prime Minister"? In my opinion it is the most clever and satirical television program every produced in the UK and it still has great resonance for modern audiences. Here's just one episode:

Yes I saw some episodes, but speaking only for myself, but as an American, it is hard to get into that kind of humor (or humour), even though it is fairly well-represented on US TV. Did you ever see "A very British coup?" Now that one I enjoyed.

I didn't see that series of which you speak. "Yes Minister" is essentially about the way language is abused for political ends and the obfuscation of departments in government and how civil servants actively work against the interests of elected politicians. The language forays are staggering in their word-salad conjuring tricks. Magnificently cynical and well-written. The Brits had a similar tradition with Gilbert and Sullivan.

Oh do watch it. Without the humorous interest, it is exactly like what you describe.
