Mel Torme and George Shearing

These two phenomenal artists have recorded quite a lot of music written for the musical theatre by first rate composers - and some for film (eg. Astaire and Rogers at RKO). Here is just a tiny sample from the Complete Concord Recordings (which I have in a 9CD set) by Shearing and Torme: Rodgers and Hammerstein's "It Might as Well be Spring". I think you'll agree it's a moving performance:
