Re: Mission: Impossible — Fallout
I did see the first Cruise MI movie, but I have no intention of watching this one. So he does all the stunts himself? Interesting. So did Gene Kelley, to go from the ridiculous to the sublime. I am reminded of the old and excellent film Mr. Roberts, in which there is a scene where somebody jumps a motorcycle from the mooring onto the ship after a wild night of liberty. Incredibly, they could not find any stunt man who would attempt something so dangerous, so they just brought in someone off the street.
There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

I saw MI-Fallout a couple of days ago. I've only seen one other MI film (the first one) and I'm not a fan of "action" movies in general, but this film is undeniably spectacular. It's two and a half hours long but holds your attention for every minute.

Thanks. Haven't seen any of the others. But the clips in the NYT story I provided above blew me away. Now your rec. seals the deal. I gotta see it!Ricordanza wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 6:59 amI saw MI-Fallout a couple of days ago.
