Here's the place to talk about DVDs (or VHS) films and movies you have seen on television and recommend or don't recommend. Discuss actors and scores, too.

Nope, famous flick, now I put it on my watchlist. The silent Dreyer "Joan of Arc" is one of my all-time favorite movies. I saw it in a revival house in NYC and it blew me away. Such a wellspring of deep devotional feeling.
I love silent movies, even "The Artist" from our own time.
One of the great films I think of all time. The only other religious film that compares to it for me is Pier Paolo Pasolini's Gospel According to St. Matthew https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6kf3qx. I bought the Dreyer Joan in the Criterion Collection after seeing it properly screened in a Manhattan theater but you can also see it here free of charge in a decent transfer.
