Here's the place to talk about DVDs (or VHS) films and movies you have seen on television and recommend or don't recommend. Discuss actors and scores, too.

Watched this perennial favorite of mine yet again!

A sobering, but heartwarming look at family life in a working-class African American community. Influenced heavily by the Italian Neorealist cinema -- Roberto Rossellini, Vittorio de Sica, et al.

Burnett made this film for $10K as a UCLA student, Now considered a classic. Chosen for the National Film Registry and the Criterion Collection.

Streaming now on Kanopy. Don't miss it.
