Blair Rattled Over London Blasts
Blair Rattled Over London Blasts
The details are emerging, but by my reckoning Blair (in his first real taste of terrorist attacks in London) was visibly shaken during his live comments in Scotland.
Bush who seems to hiding from the press since his bicycle accident yesterday will no doubt “saddle up” and use these attacks (as perhaps he should) as a renewed “I told you so”
Once the bombs go off, Politics take a back seat IMO
And this on the day after the Olympics announcement

Re: Blair Rattled Over London Blasts
It was a G-8 event. More visually compelling than that Live 8 thing. Yes, Blair was shaken, it was evident in his voice. I didn't see any thing or hear anything until late this afternoon. (Joys of Retirement # 5: Sleeping as late as you want to.) It's too bad that the public probably is so inured to this sort of thing that all they will remember is that they didn't want to be in Iraq at all, period. I think this will just put more pressure on Blair.Ted wrote:The details are emerging, but by my reckoning Blair (in his first real taste of terrorist attacks in London) was visibly shaken during his live comments in Scotland.

He’s always good in front of the podium. He's doing a good job without notes.
But let’s forget about this thread.
It’s irrelevant next to the 911 thread which Pizza posted at roughly the same time I posted this.
Ironically it was my initial response to Pizza’s first post that provided life to his thread and sent this one to the bottom where it remained (and belongs) until CD felt sorry for me and replied in an act of charity. You too Ralph
I was really hurt that Pizza got over 40 posts and everyone ignored me.
Therefore I am resigning from the board
Goodbye and may you all have a great laugh at my expense, me…who has never posted an acerbic word in his life

I never have ignored you. You, on the other hand, hves missed many chances to dine with me at MY expense (well, I would have paid for at least one Bengal Tiger feast and still would).

I promised you we will get together this summer and I am in earnest
Meanwhile, look at my above comment.
It says you posted as an act of charity like CD—nowhere did I say you specifically ignored me
I see this whole thread has gone haywire

Ted, in my view "haywire" is sometimes inevitable and often goofily funny. Look how it brings out that submerged impishness in Pizza.
