Another CMGer Met in the Flesh

I just returned from a very convivial lunch with Ted Baylis whom I had never met before today. Putting our recollections together we agreed that we've been on the same boards since about 1995.

We ate at White Plains's justly renowned Bengal Tiger where the lunch buffet is one of the best offered by any Indian eatery. Frank Berglas and his lovely wife eat there often and, hopefully, they, Ted and I can dine there soon.

As I expected, Ted is as interesting in person as he is online and it turned out that we have several "small world" mutual acquaintances.

I sincerely hope this was but the first of many return meetings, preferably in the city. Ted would certainly like to meet other veteran posters.

Refresh my memory: I don't recall that. In any event I'm not always free. I do work and I have a kid to chauffeur.

True to his word, Ralph generously supplied the currency required to pay for our lunch.
Now for the less important part…
It’s been my experience that face to face encounters with cyber-based compadres are not always smashing social victories.
Having said that, I am happy to report that breaking Nan with Ralph was a most pleasant experience and one that I look forward to repeating.
Of course, if you are reading this, you can bet your name was mentioned….and while I tried my best to stir the pot….to elicit negative comments about this or that poster….even from defunct boards, RMS would not budge…would not allow himself to be drawn into my slanderous blabberings
Plus he paid!
Did I mention that?
