Does someone know this cello(?) piece? (please see video)

Post by Lottie » Wed May 10, 2006 2:22 am

Hello,

I registered for this forum because I am DYING(!) to know the name and composer of a song I heard at a fashion show (on line).

Please click on the following link, a video will pop up and The Song (!) starts at 5 minutes and 45 seconds (so please skip to that part!).

The texture of the instrument sounds like a cello... is that correct?

It's one of the most beautiful songs I have heard and I would be thrilled if someone could help me!

Thank you

Lottie

It's the theme from Schindler's List (violin solo, not cello), written by John Williams.

Music that very much suits the horrendous story of WW II. Scary music, if you will, most apropos.

Now that Lottie has found out, we hope she sticks around and participates in our forum. Please do Lottie, and welcome to the Classical Music Guide! Now go out and get the soundtrack CD for Schindler's List. Remember, you found the answer you needed by our incredible and most informative gang here on CMG.
