Corlyss' 8000th--did anyone notice?
Sometime within the last 24 hours Corlyss Drinkard, our beloved moderator, sneaked past her 8000th post, and that is after having had many thousands wiped out in a hacking snafu quite a while ago.
She gets a lot of disagreement from many other posters including myself, but she is half of what pays for this place, she is as sharp as a razor in her observations and comments, and the place would not be the charming salon (if I may put it that way) that it is without her. All best wishes, Corlyss.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Corlyss, you've made it into the rarefied stratosphere of communication
here!
Eloquent, well-read (well, someday you'll upgrade your literature!) passionate, smart, and one heck of an excellent moderator - along with Lance - it's a privilege to communicate with you. And I'm confident you'll get it right some day!
In the meanwhile, congratulations!

But will she ever get it LEFT some day?

There is a difference between a slight tendency to a roast and a brainless dismissal.Gregory Kleyn wrote:Frankly, I'm tired of her. Same stuff over and over and over again ad nauseum, - completely predictable right down to the punctuation and emoticons.
I think she ought to get a job.

If brainless, at least honest.jbuck919 wrote:There is a difference between a slight tendency to a roast and a brainless dismissal.Gregory Kleyn wrote:Frankly, I'm tired of her. Same stuff over and over and over again ad nauseum, - completely predictable right down to the punctuation and emoticons.

If that's what you think, I think you ought simply to read other posts.Gregory Kleyn wrote:Frankly, I'm tired of her. Same stuff over and over and over again ad nauseum, - completely predictable right down to the punctuation and emoticons.

Congratulations, Corlyss. I am very impressed by your
postings. Politically, from an Australian point of view,
I am with you.
