New website for Maria Kliegel fans to bookmark

Post by Mark Antony Owen » Thu Jun 22, 2006 4:00 am

Had a lovely email from Ms Kliegel this morning, in part of which she tells me about her new website that goes live from mid-July 2006. For anyone interested, here's the URL:

www.la-cellissima.com

It's just a holding page in German at the moment, so no need to pop over there right away.

There are very many musicians below the level of "Superstar" who answer their own e-mails.

I am anxious to see her site up and running. I absolutely adore this wonderful cellist. I have yet to hear one recording that didn't please me. Besides: she's stunning to view! Talk about having the "complete package!"

No. I saw her perform recently at the Naxos Live! 2006 concert in London, and felt compelled to write to Klaus Heymann (founder of Naxos) to express my gratitude. Actually, I simply left feedback through a generic email address on the Naxos site. Next thing I know, Klaus has emailed me personally, and points out that he's copied in Maria as well. A few weeks down the line (i.e. yesterday), she sent me a short email mentioning that she saw how I enjoyed her performance - I was directly in front of her in the first row - and to give me her new site address.
