"Avenue Montaigne"

Post by Ralph » Sat Feb 10, 2007 3:11 pm

Since one of the plots in this extraordinary, wonderful, heartwarming French movie deals with a classical pianist's crisis of faith in his art, I bring the flick up here rather than in the Corner Pub.

Nominated as France's entry for best Foreign Language Film Oscar, "Avenue Montaigne," which has a cast known only to film buffs here (except for Sidney Pollack playing the surprising role of an American film director) is about connections, loyalty, love and the various shades of art and culture.

Beautifully filmed with splendid acting.

I just saw the film at a Donor Screening and I walked out very, very happy. Please don't miss this one.
