Agnes, will I see you there?

Sounds most interesting. I loved my visit to Salzburg some years ago and would love to go back. It was something to think about walking the streets of Mozart!

Dear Lance,

The answer is NO! But I can always dream.

I did enjoy Salzburg very much. We spent 6 weeks there,
mostly at the Mozarteum's Archives but still, we had time
off to enjoy the surroundings. However, we will not be
returning there any time soon.

Kind regards,
Agnes.

Dear Agnes

Do you reckon accommodation will be quite easy to find over that period? If not, can you recommend any decent caves, tree branches, or such like in the vicinity?

Regards.

Dear Saphire,

No, I am sorry I can't recommend a place to stay. We stayed at Pension but it was too far out of town. Because we were there for such a long time, it was an economy driven decision.

Regards,
Agnes.

Thanks, Agnes...

I wish I could go to gorgeous Salzburg, too! (Hmm, maybe I could.) We are lucky enough to have Austrian friends who own a home near Salzburg. Of course if we visit them there in January, they will try to get us to join them in their daily ritual of 3 stints in the sauna alternating with jumping into a snow drift. How about meeting us there, Agnes, and we'll all listen to Mozart and challenge our body temperatures. :D

All the best,
Teresa

Dear Teresa,

I would like nothing better than to meet you in Salzburg and listen to the
Camerata playing Mozart. By the way, the first violin is an Australian girl.

However, I do not need the sauna at present. The weather here is providing it courtesy of El Nino, although I would gladly participate in jumping into a snow drift.

This wonderful custom of music making in Salzburg goes back to 1856,
to the first Mozart Festival organised by Alois Taux, the first director of the Mozarteum. Karl Mozart and Ludwig Ritter von Kochel both attended the festival.

Regards,
Agnes.
