Joyous Vision of a Happy Family

Post by Barry » Wed Jun 14, 2006 2:37 pm

I was just walking back to the office from my afternoon break and passed by a very happy family. It was a guy I work with and his male partner with their adopted son (they adopted him when he was a baby......he's probably about five or so now). They all looked so happy.

I couldn't help but think how unfortunate it would be for the child if he were legally denied that love.

I'm sure that Cardinal Rigali will agree and immediately restore the placement service of Catholic Charities.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Photography just isn't my gig. I've never owned a camera. I usuallly buy a couple of the $10 one-time cameras when I go on vacation.

It would have made a good photo though  . In fact, it was so perfect that I can envision it in an ad put out by a pro-gay adoption group. They were all laughing and both parents were playing with the kid as they walked down the street.

I actually disagree with a lot of what this guy writes, but he strikes me as someone who really has his act together. I have little doubt that they're providing a good home for a child who may not have had one if this adoption weren't legally permissable
