He hit the 5,000 post mark. An invaluable colleague on our collegial site.
His award from Corlyss is a silver-plated .357 magnum revolver, now on its way to him in Germany in a package marked "Classical CDs."

I thought nobody would ever notice.
Seriously, I am still only apparently that far ahead because when the site was hacked a number of people lost all their post count and I did not. For a very short time I was actually ahead of Ralph.
However, it has been a pleasure to be here for a couple of years and I intend to stick around as long as it remains the vibrant site it is. And please don't go back and look at my oldest posts--I was pretty green about message boards when I came here and am not proud of every single one I made "in the old days."
And special thanks to Ralph, Werner, and Karl, who have had the kindness to show me friendship in person. It does add an important dimension.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.
