Call your broker for some Dong

Will you be going long DONG?

The puns will fly fast and furious on this upcoming IPO of Dong Energy A/S, a Danish oil and gas company. There are the obvious references to the male anatomy that we'll hear, like "DONG spiking!", "DONG is being artificially propped up", "Dong is going limp", and plenty more that we know you'll think of (which you can share in the comments section). There may also be references to Long Duk Dong, the wasted Asian exchange student visiting Molly Ringwald's family in the movie "Sixteen Candles" below (" more yanky my wanky, the Donger need food!")

The deal is said to be managed by Citigroup and Morgan Stanley.

More on the deal:

Denmark hired banks including Citigroup Inc. and Morgan Stanley to manage the initial public offering of oil and gas company Dong Energy A/S, said four people with knowledge of the appointments.

An announcement may be as soon as today, said two of the people, who declined to be identified before the statement. Peter Brixen, a Danish finance ministry spokesman in Copenhagen, said banks have been selected, refusing to identify them.

Denmark has said it plans to sell as much as 28 percent of the oil and gas company in the second half of the year. The IPO may raise about $4 billion, one of the people said.

``There's a lot of prestige involved in getting to manage the Dong IPO,'' said Henrik Henriksen, head of equity strategy at Jyske Bank A/S, based in Silkeborg, Denmark. ``It's going to be a very big Danish listing.''

"Hello, Citigroup brokerage services?"

(heavy breathing)
