I was enjoying this movie--with Hilary Swank doing her usual fine work--, until her character started shedding crocodile tears over the Shoah, for which reason I quit watching. The hipocrisy of the Left regarding the Jews is despicable: leftists are all ready to commiserate with the Jews when they are the helpless victims of fascists, but when the Jews stop being victims and take up arms and defend themselves against those who would finish what Hitler started, they make a 360 degree turn and accuse the Jews of behaving like Nazis, even to the point of siding with the PLO--the very organization that denies the right of Israel to exist and the right of the USA to stand by the side of Israel!

That's a mighty wide paint brush you're using. Interesting -- many I have listened to don't give a fig about the Shoah OR Israel's right to protect itself today. Same bunch. Same mindset.

I defend Israel's right to be fascist because I think there should be a place for Jews. I don't want their religion here however. Judaism is as a philosophy, disgusting, and while I'll defend to the death their right to practice it, I want no part of it in my life. Yuk! A number of my "secular" Jewish friends feel similarly.

Very spotty record, that. Most of the time, the Left is very anti-Semitic, perhaps because many leadership positions in many left-wing and socialist revolutionary movements are held by atheist ethnic Jews.

That has been part of the PetroArabs' plan for 37 years now. As part of their oil deals with the EU, states like Saudi Arabia and Iran insist that the Europeans support the Palestinians and oppose Israel as part of the conditions for selling them oil. The publicity campaigns that equate the Israelis to Nazis grew out of the Intifadas and are part of a purposeful effort to divide the Europeans from Israel and the Europeans from the US. Some have argued that the European anti-Semitism is not new or different from the anti-Semitism that Europeans have always practiced. Just now they have a better reason for it, i.e., they need the oil and gas so they are willing to do most anything for it.
