Doctor removes moles from Bush's face

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush had two moles removed from his left temple on Friday. His doctors expect tests on the skin growths to show that they are noncancerous.

The five-minute procedure was performed by Dr. Steve Krivda, a dermatologist from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the White House office of Bush's official physician, Richard Tubb. Bush will have a one-inch scab on his temple, spokesman Scott Stanzel said.

Test results will be available by the middle of next week.

"The doctors expect that both moles are benign," Stanzel said.

In August, doctors used liquid nitrogen to freeze "a small actinic keratosis," a precancerous lesion, on Bush's left arm. He also had a noncancerous skin growth removed from his neck in July 2005.

Both those procedures coincided with the president's annual physicals, which usually note that he has skin lesions consistent with sun damage.

Didn't Reagan have the same thing? Some skin cancer on his nose that he "squoze"?
