John Bleau, Are You Still On The Seven Seas?
You haven't updated us on your travels lately. Just curious.

I've been back two weeks. In Quebec City, though, not Montreal, which is 150 miles SE from here.
The trip was wonderful, with an amazing cast of characters. Where I had most fun was where we were in the worst trouble or the most tiring circumstances (blown onto shoals once, took six hours in tough weather to get back afloat - exhilirating!, or nearly getting my head torn off by an out-of-control whisker pole flying around in the wind, or looking for survivors during a Gulf stream midnight run).
When I got home, I had piles of work to do. Though it comes in regularly, I'm nearly all done for the moment. Possibly the most blessed aspect of the trip is that I kept getting work during the trip - a few hours a week more than paid for the entire 7½ months. Life is good.

Well, John COULD have been there too.

I was in Montreal for the huge yearly NAFSA (Association of International Educators) conference. Conference wasn't too bad, but really enjoyed the city, the food, and the people. Would have loved to visit NYC, but my flight had me going in and out of Newark Liberty and no chance for other side visits.

Corlyss, I may someday post stories, but whenever I get a break a new contract comes in.
Maybe Corlyss should pay you to post your travelogue.
