I noticed on my Yahoo news screen that they've remade The Omen, one of the great horror films, in honor of 6/6/6. Does this win the "what's the point" prize of the year, or what. It doesn't seem to me that you could improve upon the classic with Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, Leo McKern, etc. And get this--Mrs. Baylock is played by Mia Farrow!
I watched the trailers and previews and it seems to follow the original pretty faithfully, except that (spoiler here) when Damian knocks his mother over the banister he is riding one of those new-fangled scooters instead of a tricycle. Also, this Damian talks, not necessarily from what I saw to the advantage of the film.
Why would even Hollywood do this?

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.
