Re: Pope's immunity could be challenged in Britain
Figures. The British elite of recent years has a knack for getting almost everything exactly backwards....which is why that once great nation is slowly sinking into the abyss.SaulChanukah wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100404/ap_ ... itain_pope
If the British elite could take their heads out of their *&^*(@4^ for even a few minutes, they would realize the Londanistan they have helped to metasticize around them is a thousand times greater than the threat to them from anything the Catholic Church has done of late. But this is in no way to imply that the Catholic Church is not guilty of spawning large numbers of debauched priests. It's just a basic question of the priorities of their political leaders and their spectacular lack of backbone in confronting the real enemies of Britain.

The Vatican is a state and the pope is its ruler just as the Grand Croupier is the ruler of Monaco. Immunity attaches to both rulers and in any event the crimes of individual priests domnot fall under the concept of universal jurisdiction.

I think in the end, the UK will shy away from the wrath of the fearsome, awesome, colorful, Papal Swiss Guard.
