Much as I love Sandy Denny and Fairport Convention, Unhalfbricking is pale in comparison to Liege and Lief...never understood it's popularity unless it's simply because of Si Tu Dois Partir and the other two Bob Dylan Songs...Fergus wrote:Fairport Convention – Unhalfbricking....

In recent years I have come to appreciate how good the (early) Rolling Stones were. I don't know where the whole "Beatles vs. Stones" thing sprang from - it is possible to like both; I just never saw that when I was a kid.

Re: What are you listening to? Jazz, World, New Age, Rock, etc.
The Third Edition was a 1983 remix which restored to the album versions of “Disengage,” “Chicago” & “New York New York New York” (a/k/a “NY3”) sung by Daryl Hall.
Incidentally, it is fun to hear the Frippertronics on Daryl Hall’s Sacred Songs album, much of which is duplicated in a different context on Exposure.
Cheers,
~Karl

I have that DVD - as enjoyable as it is, I find that the documentary format becomes a little tiresome for repeated viewings.
I'd love to get a (pure) concert J.J. Cale DVD.
