Re: CMG Forum Dinner 2 Weeks Away
Looks like I can make this. I will have as my guest, tenor STEVEN NANNI (website: stevennanni.com)
I will try to get Artur Schnabel's granddaughter and her husband to come if possible.
I am eagerly looking forward to seeing you all again. It has been a long time.

Terrific! This just gets better and better.
Lance, I'll encourage you and Steven Nanni to allow some time for the sensational "Magic Flute" exhibition at the performing arts library, right next door to the Met.

Lance, it will be thrilling to see you and the company you mention. I don't know how we're going to do it, but we must transcend the situation we encountered at the last gathering, where we all sat crowded around a table and no one got to speak to anyone except the person immediately to the right and left. Maybe the before and after, including the library exhibit expedition, will fit the bill.Lance wrote:Looks like I can make this. I will have as my guest, tenor STEVEN NANNI (website: stevennanni.com)

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

John while I can't guarantee anything we may pretty much be in the restaurant by ourselves and I've requested we be in an an area where the group is practically by itself. Yes it's a lunch we'll have more time before the Met performance of Elektra, the restaurant will be relatively empty so we can hear ourselves talking and being a lunch our Brian won't be falling asleep! Regards, LenChalkperson wrote:This says 2pm start for dinner?

Re: CMG Forum Dinner 2 Weeks Away
Though this seemingly strange hour was not chosen for my benefit, it happens to work well for me because I won't be rushed to get into town in time for a lunch at, say, noon. I think whether we consider it dinner or lunch will be up to the individual. I have another pre-opera dinner appointment with my college roommate at 6:00, so one of those meals is going to have to be lighter.lennygoran wrote:Yes it's a lunch we'll have more time before the Met performance of Elektra, the restaurant will be relatively empty so we can hear ourselves talking and being a lunch our Brian won't be falling asleep! Definitely-for Sue and myself it will be our main meal-others may want just a snack or appetizer. Regards, Lenjbuck919 wrote:

Re: CMG Forum Dinner 2 Weeks Away
I thought the early start was a misprint, I might not be able to get there in time, I will do my best.
If I don't make it then I'm sure you will all have a wonderful time.

Chalkie as Brian says coming late shouldn't be a problem-I think we're hoping for a leisurely dining experience! Regards, LenChalkperson wrote: I might not be able to get there in time, I will do my best.<
