SOME ADVICE FOR PIANO PUPILS:
Always wash your hands before
Fingering the virgin score;
Never park your boiled sweets, please,
On the clean piano keys;
Practice scales? Of course, you must —
Pedaled softly, though, we trust!
Do not, with a single digit,
Pick out tunes that make us fidget;
Lest the noxious habit grow,
Curb the crude arpeggio;
AND
If your progress piles up doubts,
Chuck it, child, and join the Scouts.
