I've got his CD American Rage, and I think it's fantastic. Very exciting.

In your post, Rach3, it's not just the flying fingers, it's the delicacy of touch on each note.

Agreed, it's always hard to play fast AND soft.

Was actually inspired to hear Op.31,# 1 again, too rarely heard IMHO ( Richard Goode,1993,recording on YT, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79LAuhkrBc4 ), and reminded what a great set the entire Op.31 is. We go from almost early Classical Beethoven ( #1) , to almost late transcendent Beethoven ( # 2,“ Tempest” ) , to middle Romantic Beethoven ( # 3,”The Hunt” ).
