It happened again

Post by Guest » Sat Mar 26, 2005 10:55 pm

This evening again none of my usernames and passwords would work.

Finally, after two or three tries, I tried registering all over with my original data. That worked, which would seem to mean that it had been erased again today.

Annoying.

Indeed it was erased. By Corlyss -- at your request.

No DZ,

Corlyss erased it so that I could re-register, which I did.

So, please understand what I am saying, AFTER CORLYSS ERASED IT THIS MORNING, I REGISTERED AGAIN WITH THAT DATA AND USED IT. AND WAS ABLE TO LOG IN WITH IT.

I got in and posted with that name and data today.....after Corlyss had erased the data. (I am repeating so I will not be misunderstood....though I don't have high hopes)

Then tonight, once again, for the second time, I couldn't get in again with that name and had to re-register once more.

Once again: it was AFTER CORLYSS ERASED THE DATA AND I RE-ENTERED IT.

Boy. You, too. First Izler and now you.

Maybe someone here will look for the good, not to find something bad, and give the benefit of the doubt.

I notice now that I was logged in as guest, even though I logged in with the same data I am using now.

Really annoying.

At least you're back with that adorable screen name by which we've all come to know and love you. :D

It is totally not fair that new members are going to view you as junior to me for heaven knows how long.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Oh, for chrissake, Mark! Stop doing your misunderstood-and-put-upon-saint act, you annoying little man. You didn't make clear in your original post that this failure was subsequent to Corlyss's erasure of your data at your request, and subsequent successful logons by you with newly entered data. I wasn't berating you. I was merely responding to what appeared to be a misunderstanding by you, and attempting to set you straight on the matter. Now that you've made the situation more clear, it seems to me that what happened is just a matter of the never-working-as-it-should forum software on this site again doing its typical thing.

DZ,

I hear you.

But I also hear your tone. And over time I have been able to notice that you sound rather gruff or put-downish when, as you say, you didn't really mean it that way.

What actually happened is that I was in touch with Lance and Colyss.

Corlyss erased my data this afternoon so i could register afresh. But lance also erased it this evening. So hence the misunderstanding.

Evidently, my email server was slow getting me lance's email, which just arrived, warning me that I needed to register once more.

Well, now we know. God's in his heaven. All's right with the world.

Oh, and BTW, Mark, Donald Isler's snotty attack on you was uncalled for. But that kind of thing is typical of him. I had similar type run-ins with him on GMG after having to declare his father an ignoramus on certain musical matters (a thing I put more gently to the father, however).

D'accord!

But one thing I have mastered in my life is to empty my head.

So we will see how he is in each moment, individually.

Almost too tempting for words . . .

Mark, be careful and certain what you type and don't log off once you're in. PMs on the technical troubles will do. A little patience would help too.
