Little Death Orchestra
Little Death Orchestra
I've been hearing Little Death Orchestra's Tiny Crescent Sun being played on the Classic FM TV channel, and it sounds very familiar. Does anyone know if it's been used in any film/TV soundtracks, or adverts? It could just be that it's ne of those pieces of music that sounds familiar the first time you hear it!

Well, miracles do happen . . .
An outfit named The Little Death Orchestra makes me think "unlikely!" but who knows? I listen to a group blithely named The Suspicious Cheese Lords who do Medieval and Renaissance a cappella music (that's a pic of one of them on their Senfl cd cover). Go figure. I couldn't find a listing for your group on Amazon.

I've checked amazon, amazon.uk, virgin megastores, and tower. No links to music.

I wonder if they picked their name with sex plus euphemism in mind.

After Sex Pistols, nothing would surprise me, but after Sex Pistols, why euphemize? Why not The Good Shag Orchestra? And where and what was the orchestra? The author of the track notes sounded like a one-man operation.Ralph wrote:I wonder if they picked their name with sex plus euphemism in mind.

Thanks to everyone who has responded. I've finally found a link, to a sample, courtesy of the BBC. The link is for the page the sampleislisted on, rather than a direct link, to try and avoid any problems. It's track 2 I'm interested in, Tiny Crescent Sun: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cgi-perl/music/muz ... _id=464201
