Lance, according to this (http://www.paul-sacher-stiftung.ch/e/co ... /weber.htm), apparently late Margrit Weber passed away in 2001. Her recording with the Bavarian Radio Symphony and Kubelik (if memory serves me right) of Spanish piano music is absolutely fantastic and very enjoyable, what other recordings did she made which are worth a mention?

Ricardo Odnoposoff was the best violinist that Argentina produced.
He got second after no less than Oistrakh in the Queen Elizabeth
Belgium violin contest. He had a long an successfull career in Europe
as solist and teacher, and left several good recordings. His Tartini's
Devil is famous.

• DGG 477.5808 (2 CDs) - Mozart: Piano Concerto #12 w/Rudolf Baumgartner, conductor [includes other Mozart concerti with other pianists/conductors]
• DGG 474.383 (9 CDs) - Françaix: Concertino for Piano & Orchestra; Honegger: Concertino for Piano & Orchestra; Franck: Symphonic Variations; Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. All these items are with Ferenc Fricsay conducting. This is DGG's "Ferenc Fricsay: A Life in Music" box that is worth its weight in gold.

There's probably some other things ... I can't think of any SOLO literature recorded by Margrit Weber right at the moment. As for my "daily quotes," I may start that again at some point. People do seem to miss them. [/color]
