I could not have said it any better than Werner! You are one of our most adored and long-standing family members here at CMG, Dear Ralph. You have had your trials and tribulations fairly recently but have recovered from them all with your usual verve, aplomb, and zest for all the good things life has to offer, especially your love of music! What more can I say? You are a rare breed among men, a good friend, and one especially appreciated. Thank you for being you!

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
TO OUR OWN PROFESSOR RALPH!

Happy birthday, Ralph!

And here I thought it was "just" Bastille Day.

Well, Ralph, you didn't make it down here before Medicare, but hey, we got a reprieve! Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and you truly do have a standing invite.

Will coincidences never cease? Ralph himself is a virtuoso on the kazoo. :)

Happy birthday, Ralph!

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

(Kazoo lol) Happy Birthday Ralph (even though I barely know you xD). I like wishing people on their birthdays. :)
(I'm a horn player, and I take 'offense' to yet I merely lmao at these jokes. :P)
How do horn players traditionally greet each other?
1. "Hi. I played that last year."
2. "Hi. I did that piece in junior high."
How many French horn players does it take to change a lightbulb?
Just one, but he'll spend two hours checking the bulb for alignment and leaks.
How do you get your viola section to sound like the horn section?
Have them miss every other note.
Orchestra Personnel Standard for a horn player:
Lifts buildings and walks under them.
Kicks locomotives off the tracks.
Catches speeding bullets in teeth and eats them.
Freezes water with a single glance.

BTW, I note in the tageblatt of St. Ignatius College Preparatory (with undisguised glee) that Pace has extended scholarships to three graduating SI students, who will - no doubt - pursue their academics with the usual jesuitical fervor...

I swore I wouldn't look at CMG until after work today. But in between calling a couple of delinquent accounts who could resist. Sheesh, I don't have time to watch kittycats right now, but I couldn't pass by wishing you a Happy Birthday. Hope to see you in NYC again before too long.

Yeah, I'm back. I've put up some pictures of our trip up in the Pub; an update is due soon. I've shamelessly used this Pub thread to communicate with a few friends while away, but I hope some CMGers have enjoyed the pictures as well.
