Happily, two items arrived today. Indeed HAPPY!

1] DGG 483 9846 [16 CDs] - Piano Lessons, Christoph Eschenbach, piano
2] Decca 485 1160 [74 CDs] - Arthur Grumiaux, Complete Philips Recordings
I never thought the Grumiaux would arrive at all, but I kept hoping.

You've got a double negative there, Lance, which is a little contradictory. They can't both be true! But I'm delighted they've arrived, and am just awaiting my own Grumiaux box from Belgium.

On another track, the Soler album you were recommending has arrived, and it is indeed delightful. Thanks for that.

Yes, I corrected that and after I pressed "submit," I knew I pulled a ... whatever.

Glad you like the Soler. That Fandango is a lulu! Wonderful pianists, too. And I keep reminding myself that we at CMG do a good job on selling records!

It certainly is (the fandango). And, perhaps surprisingly, I am very moved by the "concerto" for two pianos, tracks 10 and 11. Simple but lovely.

Eschenbach made some very fine piano solo recordings as a young man: I may investigate that set, Lance. Glad you mentioned it.

My Grumiaux box arrived just a few days ago, but I haven't opened it yet to check about the duplicate CDs. Please let us know what you find.

The Soler CD is on my order from Presto scheduled to be processed next month for my birthday. Looking forward to hearing it.
