I just got an email from Arkiv music listing new releases . Among them is a six CD set of music by Alexander Zemlinsky , incuding his "Lyric Symphony ", the operas " A Florentine Tragedy ", "Der Traumgorge ", " Der Konig Kandaules " and assorted other works , and this looks really interesting . The Label is Capriccio , and it's available for a ridiculous $ 19 !
The conductors include Christoph Eschenbach , Gerd Albrecht, Susanna Malkki , and Anthony Beaumont, , best known as a Busoni scholar .
No doubt some of you here have some of these as individual recordings , but the set is a steal .
