Bard King Arthur wait list and live stream

I hadn't been aware Bard would be livestreaming and wait listing King Arthur-this could save a lot of extra drive time and costs for us. So now we see streaming being offered from both BEMF and Bard. It's too bad I didn't buy a smart TV-we bought our TV before smart TV became fashionable-we hadn't bought a new car since 2011 and now with our new car we had so much to learn-the new car with features like Sirius and access to sptify and even being able to answer and make speedcalls from the car and even more importantly things like Waze and google Maps and of course the camera in the back are just amazing features for us! Regards, Len [dinosaur]

Live In-Person & Virtual Livestreamed Event
King Arthur
(Le roi Arthus)
New Production
by Ernest Chausson
The American Symphony Orchestra
Conducted by Leon Botstein
Directed by Louisa Proske
Idealism, treachery, honor, and perfidy collide in this richly lyrical opera by French composer Ernest Chausson. This opulently scored work, which premiered in 1903, lays bare the tragedy of King Arthur’s betrayal at the hands of his queen Guinevere and his trusted knight Lancelot.

Considered one of the finest examples of French romanticism, King Arthur (Le roi Arthus) was composer Chausson’s only opera—his own composing career was tragically cut short by his early death at age 44.

Performed by a stellar cast, helmed by baritone Norman Garrett and mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke, this production of King Arthur takes us to a world in the midst of upheaval where long-standing codes of honor and loyalty no longer hold sway.

Len, this sounds interesting, thanks!

it's worth noting that there are two versions of Le Roi Arthus on Spotify. I'll be checking out one of these three soon, as I'm quite enamored with Botstein's work.
