New from Decca, B0034565, 56:56

VOICE OF NATURE
THE ANTHROPOCENE

Renée Fleming, soprano
Yannick Nézet-Seguin, piano

Says Miss Fleming: "This music begins in a time almost two centuries ago when people had a profound connection to the beauty of nature. Now, in the Anthropocene, we see the effects of our own activity and the fragility of our environment. Nature has been so good to us: we have not been so good to nature."

The program includes music by Kevin Puts, Fauré, Hahn, Liszt, Mico Muhly, Grieg, and Caroline Shaw. The recital includes specially commissioned works and world premiere recordings.

I have not auditioned this yet, but any recording by Renée Fleming, especially in this collaboration, is most welcome, I'm sure. ♫

rubbed his name off the piano. [Speaking about pianist &*$#@+#]
