Just heard this for the second time!

Bjoerling sings with such a passionate long line that seems to just go on forever, like U. S. Route #30! Warren is also in tip-top shape, as is the rest of the cast. They recorded their roles for RCA Victor just 3 years later, with Milanov & Barbieri. This live version is even better: true grand opera at scale! Stella Roman sings a fine "D'amor sull' aile rosee..", while Margaret Harshaw (previously unknown to me) really raises the roof as Azucena with true fire.

Great singing AND conducting all around. The sound is also amazingly good for the era.
