François-Clément Théodore Dubois (24 August 1837 – 11 June 1924) was a French composer, organist and music teacher.

It's nice to know Dubois wrote something else besides the Seven Last Words cantata. Today he's mostly known as the conservative who tried to keep Ravel from winning the Prix de Rome. I assume the Seven Last Words still has a firm place in the repertory of amateur choruses. I remember singing it with my church choir when I was a teen, but that was a half century ago.
