Arrau has always been one of favourite interpreters of Op 111. I based this on two recordings from a decade or so earlier.

There's this which is my favourite but I can't find the other one which I think is from around 1956/57

I've got this on a DVD coupled with a very rare film of Solomon playing.

The one you've posted Brian is a similar performance to the one above. I love both because Arrau gives the Arietta time to breathe allowing him to give it a more ethereal quality.
